Toronto FC midfielder Amado Guevara was suspended one game and fined $250 by Major League Soccer's Disciplinary Committee on Thursday for his conduct in Sunday's game. Guevara earned a red card in Toronto's 2-0 loss to FC Dallas after hitting Dallas midfielder Pablo Ricchetti in the face in the penalty area in the 78th minute.

Real Salt Lake will open its new stadium Oct. 9 against the New York Red Bulls. RSL hoped to open the venue before the end of this season, but the club wasn't sure if it would be ready in time. Real owner Dave Checketts said Tuesday that the 20,000-seat stadium will be ready for the Thursday night game against the Red Bulls, which was already scheduled to be televised on ESPN2.

All-Star Kenny Cooper scored on a penalty kick in the 81st minute after Toronto FC's Amado Guevara received a red card, propelling FC Dallas to a 2-0 win Sunday. Cooper then scored in injury time to secure Toronto's first loss at home in 10 games this season (6-8-4). Toronto is winless in its past six MLS games and 11 games overall.

Davis gave the Dynamo a 1-0 lead when Brian Mullan delivered a pass from the upper right corner to the middle of the arc, where Davis fired a bullet into the upper left net.
