Kobe Bryant’s legacy continues to grow over time. Several stories from the Black Mamba continue to come to light, one of them shows a highly competitive Kobe that had no limits to intimidate his rivals.
In Beijing 2008, the “Stars and Stripes” team came with hurt pride after the failure in Athens 2004 and one of their executioners was the Argentina National Team, the Golden Generation, who they faced in the semifinals.
Luis Scola had a difficult task, scoring LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, so the Black Mamba did not hesitate to start trashtalking the Argentine from the first quarter. The surprise came when Kobe yelled at Scola in Spanish.
Watch the trash talk take place in the video below:
Kobe: Me encanta Scola, así me gusta
Scola (in Spanish): Speak in english, you do that better.
Kobe: I’m gonna show you what language I speak.
Next play, Kobe gets a steal and dunk. #MambaMentality
