Players Named for the 2020 NBA Hall of Fame will be Inducted into a Private Ceremony

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame will honor the 2020 class of immortals at a particular ceremony, even if the act is postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Each class of immortals deserves their separate ceremony and this one from 2020 is particularly special,” Hall of Fame CEO John Doleva told the Boston Globe. “It is very likely that next year we will have two acts,” he added.

Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant lead the group of nine legends that will be exalted in 2020, whose ceremony is scheduled for August 29 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The Hall of Fame has not yet decided who will accept the induction by Kobe Bryant, who died on January 26 in a plane crash with his daughter in California. Vanessa, his widow, could be the chosen person.
